Boutique entertainment

Designed to create a heterogeneous and boutique environment in which patrons can relax and unwind, the Newtown cinema complex is an architectural manifesto of the retro era. Drama has been created throughout the complex, from the moment you enter through the grand revolving door a juxtaposition is set out between the large void areas and luxury lounges is set out.

This project was done in collaboration with a human environmental design paper, this allows the project to be feasible in a real world scenario. In addition to this, expectations of effective acoustics for the cinema environment and control of natural lighting have been well considered and incorporated into the design.
